Research and Teaching Interests
Devrim Guven is an assistant professor of science education in the department of Primary Science Education at Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey. Dr. Guven teaches science methods, learning theories and qualitative research methods courses both graduate and undergraduate level and supervises student teaching. His research focuses on authentic science in science education, technology design and implementation to support inquiry in classrooms and teaching and learning of socioscientific issues. Currently Dr. Guven is on a sabbatical leave at Syracuse University to conduct research in collaboration with Dr. John W. Tillotson.
