BioKaitlin Heller is a medieval historian and folklorist. She studied folklore as an undergraduate at Harvard College, specializing in medieval folklore, and received an M.Phil. in medieval history from Cambridge University. Before pursuing her doctorate in medieval history at the University of Toronto, she worked as an assistant editor at Del Rey Books, one of the science fiction and fantasy imprints of Random House, Inc.
Research and Teaching InterestsHeller's research interests include medieval intellectual history, the history of science, and folklore studies. Her upcoming research project focuses on the use of folklore in political mythmaking during the twelfth and thirteenth centuries in Europe.
